Goals and Objectives

Emulate Ikigai’s core values and strive to achieve our mission.

Support the CEO and COO achieve the following:

  • Accurate accounts that show the profitability of the company.
  • Cashflow projections that enable the company to make sound decisions about investment
  • Financial models that support with grow plans

Key Responsibilities:

  • Post expenses to QuickBooks and make payments to suppliers
  •  Invoice customers on Quick Books and post payments received
  •  Ensure all collections are banked and perform bank reconciliation on Quick Book
  • Prepare monthly and annual financial reports
  • Prepare budgets and monthly cash flow forecasts on Ms Excel
  • Prepare the payroll and file payroll returns (PAYE, NSSF, NHIF)
  • File VAT, Withholding tax and Income Tax returns on iTax platform
  • Manage petty cash
  • Maintain the asset register
  • Facilitate audits

Other Requirements: The ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment and perform with excellence.

Education & Experience:

  • Experience working with QuickBook
  • Experience filing returns on iTAX
  •  Fully qualified accountant (CPAK) or CPA Section 4 with a degree in business related studies
  • Experience working with Ms Excel
  • At least Three years relevant experience

  • Highly organized and efficient with excellent time management skills. You are able to prioritize tasks effectively when everything is happening at once
  • You don’t just show up to work at the office, you own the office, taking pride in managing every little accounting related detail
  • Collaborative and engaging and like to work as a team. You’re also independent and get the job done. No matter what is required
  • You are not afraid to get your hands dirty when required
