The person will be the Technical Master to Support Both Solutions Business Consultant’s as well as System Engineer’s for Canon Partners in North Africa Sales cluster

Main Source for Solutions Technical Knowledge
Technical Training for Canon Solutions Portfolio.
Second Level Support for System Engineers of Partners
To define the KPI’s which required to Measure the performance of System Engineers Across the Region
Provide onsite support to Canon distributors and end-users using Canon systems.
Main Contact with Ntware to Provide Technical Information for NSO’s as well as Partners
Visit end-user or distributor premises to investigate and resolve problems as necessary.
Evaluate, prioritize and respond to field suggestions and written enquiries.
Take overall technical responsibility for assigned Solutions.
Attend training courses on nominated solutions as required.
Write effective training courses for nominated Solutions, to include, visual aids, practical exercises, and means to check understanding.
Effectively deliver training courses to distributors’ personnel, at suitable locations in Region.
Coordinate with Service Teams to Increase the Connectivity rate Canon Devices to e-Maintenance
Uniflow Sales training
Generating Leads
Making POC (Proof of concept)

  • Engineering Degree “Computer or Communication”
  • Office Solutions Experience 5 Years Plus
  • Uniflow and Therefore Experience
  • Uniflow Advanced Diagnostic Certified
  • Able to communicate, at times involving complex technical information, to individuals at all levels, internally and externally.
  • High level of Customer Centric attitude.
  • Certification and Experience on Microsoft Networking infrastructure, Servers and VMWARE
  • High level of technical knowledge and experience (5 years minimum) coupled with the ability to relate technical information to non-technical people at all levels.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and French.

Job Purpose and Summary

  • The Candidate would be Canon’s representative at the Tier-2 level, responsible for a dedicated channel(s) called as PRO IMAGING.  Tier-2 is defined as the reseller of PRO IMAGING Products who focuses on Sell out directly to End users. He/She can source his/her product requirement directly from Vendor or through an authorized distributor appointed in the country.

  • Demand Generation.
  • Brand Visibility.
  • Enhance Canon PRO IMAGING MASH in the assigned territory

  • PRO IMAGING Resellers and Competition Mapping.
  • Establish PRO IMAGING Resellers contacts and business relationships with the right representatives of the Resellers (Decision Makers).
  • Introduce Canon PRO IMAGING Products utilizing the relationship established with the PRO IMAGING Resellers.
  • Product training to PRO IMAGING Reseller Salesmen.
  • Carry out demand generation activities like Events & Seminars.
  • Prepare the Marketing Activity Calendar in coordination with the Country Manager and PM.
  • Appoint / Work with local marketing agency to carry out planned activities in the local market in coordination with Marketing Services team adhering to Canon brand and corporate guidelines.
  • Monitor the PRO IMAGING dedicated Reseller Partner program in the assigned territory with regular mechanism of Sell out reporting.
  • Enhance Canon’s brand awareness in the market by improving in store visibility, and development of localized POS materials.
  • Propose and Support PM in planning and organizing of local product launch events.

  • Excellent communication skills and requisite diplomatic/negotiation skills.
  • Ability to communicate and relate to subjects, issues and clients at many levels.
  • Excellent Market knowledge and willingness to be “Closer to Market”.
  • Relevant experience with product knowledge in photo video / imaging industry – essential.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar international or regional sales role (with a similar company, national distributor or trading company) – essential.
  • Background and knowledge of market environments – essential.
  • Relevant recognized formal qualifications (university level) – desirable.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and the local language – essential.
  • High level of written and spoken communications – essential.
  • Professional appearance, attitude and communication style – essential.
  • Familiarity with MS Office applications, i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint – essential.
  • Based in Kenya – essential.
